    Edmond(on your 3rd July comment)
The fact that God can do anything he wants is what he’s doin now, everything has to follow laws or orders or what he says. Everything could’nt escape from his rules, the sun the moon the weather, the laws of physics, chemicals, biologicals etc. & etc.

If theres no physical or other laws governing here, you will not be in one piece or you will be floating heplessly. Not much is being told regarding various laws in heaven or hell but for sure there is some difference, you would’nt get old for example, you will live forever in heaven or hell. You won’t sweat or secrete shit. But I think gravity still exist there.

I thought you have said it earlier ‘And Nature is not a “being”. It’s just the process of the laws of physics coming together, often at random, to shape matter and energy’. Now youre saying ‘Nature does not account for the laws of physics, they pretty much account for themselves’. Are you sane enough?

  2. Lurker Says:

    Mammon bless the USA, indeed.

  3. solomon Says:

Simply obsessed with Mammon. Allah’s wealth is limitless.

  4. solomon Says:

Sorry…You won’t sweat or secrete shit in heaven. In hell I presumed your sweat will be instantly dried up.

  5. John Says:

Old sollie, I can see that it really bugs you that Atheists are happy and don’t need that shit…

  6. DUG853 Says:

And it’s really necessary to postulate a god/s to explain the (known) natural laws,….WHY-?

    Who ‘created’ this imminently-complex ‘god/s’-?

    Infinite-regression explains NOTHING. IMO

If a ‘god/s’ could have ‘always-been-there’, then why couldn’t the Universe have ‘always-been-there’-?

  7. solomon Says:

The Universe have not ‘always-been-there’. Initially there is no universe & finally the Universe will dissapear.

  8. Atheist MC Says:

How do you know Sol? Evidence please.

  9. Atheist MC Says:

Oh the quote is cynical enough but not very illumunating.

  10. solomon Says:

    Atheist MC,

    It’s depicted in the Qoran.

  11. Atheist MC Says:

OK so no evidence then. That’s cleared that up…moving on.

  12. Atheist MC Says:

Since the quote isn’t mucj worth talking about here’s some Tim Minchin Lyrics. Actually written about the Bible but works well enough for the Qu’ran too so it could be Sol singing.

  13. Edmond Says:

The Qoran is NOT evidence. The Qoran says a man named Solomon talked with ants and birds. Is that “evidence” that it happened? Evidence comes from verifiable, repeatable testing. In other words, SHOW us your evidence. Demonstrate your claims, don’t just point to an old book of stories.

Did you realize you were supporting my argument instead of yours when you said “Everything could’nt escape from his rules, the sun the moon the weather”? I think that tearing the moon in half would be in violation of these rules. But then, we can only take the Qoran’s word for it that that happened, too. Unless you can demonstrate someone tearing the moon in half, which would be evidence.

The funniest part was your description of heaven, though. I won’t sweat in heaven? What if I LIKE to sweat? I like how it feels! I love it! What if I give up my atheism, convert to Islam, believe all the things I should and do all the things I should to praise Allah, dedicate myself to being the best Muslim I can be, and finally get into heaven, and now I can’t sweat? If I’m missing something I like, how is that “heaven”? What’s wrong with this picture?

  14. Rozmarija Grauds Says:

Recent Secular.org billboards show ” ONE NATION, INDIVISIBLE”
indicating that the surge in religiosity, starting in 1958 along with the rapid increase in population ( doubled since 1958) , served to DIVIDE this nation once “Under God” was rammed into the Pledge. We have lost focus, we have lost our integrity, we have lost standing in the eyes of other nations. Even the Prime Minister of Australia admits to being atheist !

  15. solomon Says:

Only King Solomon (ehemm..excuse me..) were one of the many special individuals who have the ability of hearing & understanding the animals language. So the feat performed by King Solomon is not necessary to be repeatable to be as evidence.
Nobody likes to be in the discomfort of sweat, but you purposely raised it just to create an issue. The joy of being in heaven will make everyone forgets to think of silly things such as sweating. Well if sweat you prefer, don’t mention a drop, you will be swimming in a sea of sweat if you wanted too. Quite a silly urgh I suppose.

  16. Atheist MC Says:

Only King Solomon (ehemm..excuse me..) were one of the many special individuals who have the ability of hearing & understanding the animals language

and you know about this how? Hint: the Qu’ran is not a verifiable source of information. Neither is Dr Doolittle.

  17. Braathwaat Says:

Solomon, as Thomas Paine wrote (when speaking about miracles in the bible)… “Is it more probable that nature should go out of it’s course, or that man should tell a lie? We have never seen nature go out of her course, but billions of lies have been told in the same time. it is therefore at least a billion to one, that a reporter of a miracle tells a lie”

  18. Edmond Says:

Excellent, Braathwaat, I’d never heard that quote before. Really helps show the likelihood of any of these crazy stories having an ounce of truth.

Yes, Solomon, even speaking to ants must be repeatable to be considered evidence. Otherwise it’s just ANOTHER impossible story that we’re expected to believe with no proof. Why do you think we will believe these things without proof? Aren’t you embarrassed to believe things like that? If you believe a man talked with ants, let me tell you about a little girl who talked with some bears, and stole their porridge.

And no, I didn’t raise the sweat issue just to create an issue. I really do enjoy sweating, a pleasant physical activity that helps remind me that I’m alive. I raised it because it’s silly for you to suggest that you have some knowledge that you obviously don’t have. What do you know about sweating in heaven and hell? What do you know about gravity there? Does the Qoran talk about those things? You’re making it all up. Everything about gods, heavens and hells is all made up.

  19. The Heretic Says:

We already know that Solomon is a lunatic. Can we move on now?

  20. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat ,
Nature is the created lie by itself. An alternative to defy God derived from the Atheists dark ages. Wah..! Nature is something with a very high imagination huh? It got hands to move the moon and the planets…! wow…! what a great silly ‘word’ the Atheists have been holding for all this while.

  21. solomon Says:

If something is repeatable or anyone can have it, its not termed as miracle. It is termed as mass production. Understanding animals language is not a mass production stuff. Anyway its possible. Man have long before communicate with animals, and they can understand them. The evidence is right under your nose. It happens up till today. We are able to communicate with dogs, cats, birds, dolphins, chimpanzees, lions & many others.
I did’t directly say theres gravity in heaven. I said “But I think gravity still exist there”. Maybe it is in some other form but it works like gravity. Why?Because in the Qoran God said we sit & drink in heaven. There are also flowing rivers. If theres no form of gravity how could the water flow down our mouth or we might be floating around in heaven, not sitting or standing. Water in rivers needs gravity too to flow. I did’nt make anything up. The evidence are all there in the Qoran. Its only the Atheists that screws things up.

  22. GodKilla Says:

    People, of the AQOTD forum;

is this an atheist forum for discussing daily quotes or a forum for arguing with the lunatic and morally corrupt solomon? Take a look at this thread for example, it starts out with the mammon debate and swiftly degenerates into a ping pong game with solomon. we all know he will NEVER listen to reason, provide any evidence for his ridiculous claims or accept any form of rational debate so why are we engaging with him?

I move that we, as a group, actively ignore all his posts from this point forward and focus on the quotes. All in favour?

  23. solomon Says:

I’ve heard of this campaign a lot of times. It’s you that better get your ass off if you don’t like this forum.

  24. Braathwaat Says:

Solomon, this “The Universe have not ‘always-been-there’. Initially there is no universe & finally the Universe will disappear.” is the only thing you’ve said that makes any sense! Prior to the big bang there was no universe & as the universe expands at some point it will cease to exist.

  25. Braathwaat Says:

Solomon, for the sake of argument let’s just assume that there was an “all powerful” God & put aside the paradox’s that make that impossible. Considering all the miracles/supernatural events told in the bible & koran how is it possible that none of them made it into the historic record? The bible & koran is NOT a historic record.

  26. solomon Says:

The Qoran is the historic record by itself. It does’nt need silly recognition.

  27. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat ,
You said “Prior to the big bang there was no universe & as the universe expands at some point it will cease to exist.” Then wheres the point I did’nt make sense? Does what I say “finally the Universe will disappear” similar as what you imply ” as the universe expands at some point it will cease to exist”?

  28. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat ,

    You’re a confused dude.
