None. Feel free to prove otherwise, short of proof, get out of everyone’s life, pockets, pants, and law.

Campbell is a bit of an enigma to me… I grew up believing the kind of symbolic and metaphorical religion that Campbell wrote about and, like him, thought it silly to believe in literal religion. But actually learning about Campbell and his writing, first through the Bill Moyers interview titled “The Power of Myth”, was one of the things that tipped me over to complete non-belief. I mean, he was among the best at articulating a Durkheimian function for religion, and yet he helped explain for me the popularity of Star Wars through his views on religion: myths are great, but no basis for a bona fide religion, just for a fad.

Sure. But fears generate nothing but irrational beliefs.
