    And it’s very revealing that when religious individuals are very ill, they seek an actual doctor. When there’s nothing that can be done, then they seek a priest. And that’s exactly what priests do for the dying: nothing.

    You can test this quote’s claim by making it into a drinking game. Grab a bottle of your favorite hooch, and switch on any religious channel. Take a shot every time the host says anything meaningful, or measurable, or realistically important. It’ll be the soberest, most boring drinking game you’ve ever had.
