“Religious scholars see perhaps the majority of today's young Canadian adults as disappearing down a black hole of spiritual illiteracy from which institutional religion cannot retrieve them. The cause is also a product of young adults increasingly seeing organized religion as illogical and out of touch with reality.”

Yea, it’s getting harder to find any of those pesky little gaps to stuff GOD into. Soon even these Atheist sites will blase. What do you guys think the next

Whatever could the term ‘spiritual illiteracy’ mean? I’d be sorry to see ignorance of religion because it provides valuable context for understanding history. That doesn’t mean anyone should believe in flying horses and burning bushes but isn’t there some value in knowing the kind of hokum uneducated people once did?

CaptainZero: Is there not the Dark Ages that one can refer back onto in history as place and time whereby history can point to when the church was in charge? I think we all can proclaim and know how well that worked.

The nice thing I’ve seen lately, at least here in the States; is that I don’t think that you have to be a Canadian… the see the walls crumbing any longer!
