Interestingly, I have often found that my atheist friends are far more accepting and caring of those who are not like themselves, and thusly I suppose closer to the christian ideal, than actual christians.

Mostly because most “Christians” have no idea of what the Christian ideal really is. As with most religions, they reflect only what they brought to it in the first place.

Notice they are mostly anti-abortion yet pro-execution.
