There are those ask questions why
If God is in the heavens
Why does God let children die?”

Phil Lynott is such a jerk!

God let children die is because life & death is just a cycle of life. Only the way to die is different. Simple.

  2. Johnny Eucharist Says:

Life and death is the cycle of life in nature. That is why children, and everything else on this planet, die. Life and death is the cycle of life as defined by science and logic. According to 99% of what is claimed by the Abrahamic religions and others, there is no natural cycle of life. Were this the case, and some omnipotent old wizard actually was behind everything and He did have a grand plan which was all playing out according to his design, that would mean children were murdered, raped, enslaved and very often all three on an almost constant basis. I’d definitely like to hear some compelling arguments as to why the omnipotent. loving creator of all things is such a vile sadist.

  3. solomon Says:

    This is another one jerk!

All the murders, raped & enslaved are clearly done by the hands of humans. Do you see some hands appearing from the sky poking ones chest? This jerk blantantly blamed God on such happenings. But they never ever praise the one who constantly supply them with abundance of water, air and foods.

  4. Johnny Eucharist Says:

Ah, yes. Circular logic. You sure are quick with the name-calling, hate, judgment and false-pride for someone who is supposedly Christ-like. I still think you’re a troll and a pretty sorry excuse for one, at that.

  5. Dan Says:

No Solomon, it is not Phil Lynott or Johnny Eucharist that is the jerk. They’re just pointing out the obvious: that if we’re wrong and your god does exist, he or she is pure evil for letting innocent children die.

  6. solomon Says:

If he deliberately let children die, he might have not supply them with milk & bread at the first place. You’re all the same and will always be…!!LIARS!!

  7. Dan Says:

You’re saying that your god doesn’t deliberately let innocent children die? Then your god either isn’t all-knowing or doesn’t care. Either way, why worship this weak or indifferent god?

  8. solomon Says:

You all are only campaigning for everyone to hate God by labelling him as the one who’s responsible on the cause of childrens death. You can no longer hide your agenda. I’am gonna strip it naked.

  9. Dan Says:

Hey I’m not the one that kills innocent children. That’s your god.

  10. solomon Says:

“You’re saying that your god doesn’t deliberately let innocent children die?”

You’re twisting my words. I say “if”. I am only citing a reason as to why God does not deliberately let childrens die. God is all knowing and always care. Its the atheists lots whose the opposite.

  11. Dan Says:

God is all knowing and always care.

Then your god is unable to spare innocent children from horrible diseases. Again, why worship such a god?

  12. Admin Says:

Phil Lynott is such a jerk!

It’s very rude to speak ill of the dead Sol.

Personal attacks make you sound desperate anyway. Please attack the argument, not the person and people might take you more seriously.

  13. archaeopteryx Says:

Speaking of hating god, I don’t: it’s pointless to hate something for which there is no evidence of actual existence. I dislike the behaviour shown by some who claim to believe, to know what their god wants and to speak on its behalf.

Realists can only try to show that such belief is ill-founded and logically incoherent. It is almost impossible, because, as others have noted on earlier posts, there is no agreement on what god is. The goalposts, if any are agreed, will shift constantly during any discussion with a believer.

Theodicy is one of the biggest problems theists have and their invention of reasons why their gods appear to behave as badly as they do explains nothing.

  14. solomon Says:

    Dear Admin,

It may be rude to speak ill of the dead, but is not so if the dead personel speak ill of God.

  15. solomon Says:

    Dan,

Who says god is unable to spare innocent children from horrible diseases. Countless of childrens have been saved by medications, vaccines or antibiotics. You keep on lying.

  16. Dan Says:

Who says god is unable to spare innocent children from horrible diseases.

You said that your god is all-knowing and cares. Yet innocent children still die from horrible diseases. So YOU implied that your god is unable to do anything about it. Think about it, if your god gave a damn, and was able to, he’d cure children of such infirmities and there’d be no need for medicines, vaccines, or antibiotics. But we do need such things, because your god doesn’t care or is impotent.

  17. Admin Says:

“not so if the dead personel speak ill of God.”

Phil Lynott did not call god “a jerk” like you did Sol.

He asked a reasonable question. Is that not allowed in your philosophy?

  18. Hypatia Says:

“Countless of childrens have been saved by medications, vaccines or antibiotics.”

What about the countless children who died before these were invented. Don’t they count?

  19. Dan Says:

“Countless of childrens have been saved by medications, vaccines or antibiotics.”

What about the countless children who died before these were invented. Don’t they count?

Not to mention, no god invented these things. People did. Solomon’s god, if he exists (which I doubt), could care less about people’s unjust suffering. (Or his god gets off on watching the innocent suffer.)

  20. Atheist MC Says:

God does kill children according to the bible

23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!” 24 When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number. 25 And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
    (2 Kings 2:23-25)

  21. solomon Says:

    Dan, Hypatia,

So you think you’ve won the argument. Hear this….
Medications, vaccines or antibiotics were invented by men using God’s raw materials and inspired by God’s knowledge.
The fact that countless children died of horrible diseases before or after these were invented is just that its the human life cycle. Everyone must die. Its only sooner or later. Its fated that some would & some would not respond or could not access to medications. If nobbody dies since Adam & Eve, then this world would’nt have enough space for everyone to move around. See its simple. Only your hearts are blinded.
    Whaaaaa……ooops….sorry Admin.

  22. solomon Says:

    Atheists MC,

Who cares what the bible says…
Its a book twisted from truth.

  23. Dan Says:

Medications, vaccines or antibiotics were invented by men using God’s raw materials and inspired by God’s knowledge.

Uh, no. You just made that up.

  24. solomon Says:

True Admin, Phil Lynott did not call God a jerk, but he’s implying God is.

  25. Dan Says:

    Don’t worry Solly, I’ll explicitly call your god a baby-killer. 🙂

  26. Atheist MC Says:

Who cares what the bible says…
Its a book twisted from truth.

and was the foundational document for the Qu’ran if I am not mistaken.

  27. R J Says:

    sol…………..

i guess you have no idea who phil lynott was.

let me tell you something about this “jerk.”

he brought many many people a LOT of good feelings….even joy.

for others, he was a source of inspiration………and his works are still

    being studied today.

the people he worked with are still around……and you might say they
    are STILL carrying the message.

he was truly a guy who gave to the world, and left it a little richer.

    just to let you know……………………

  28. Admin Says:

“Phil Lynott did not call God a jerk, but he’s implying God is.”

No, he asked a simple question.

It would seem that if anyone asks a reasonable question about your god you call them a jerk. This is a classic indication of insecurity. What are you afraid of Sol?

  29. Jeff Says:

A hearty round of applause for Admin!

Since Solly won’t tell us which god he bows to, and refuses to be pinned down to any given pre-Age of Reason text, he can bob and weave as he will, and not have to give any reasoned argument for his outlandish statements. He can give or deny his god any power or knowledge, and then blame those who are supposed to bow to this fickle idiot for any negative outcome.

Sounds like most theologians, but Solly’s mangling of the English language indicates that either it is a secondary one to him, or that he lacks the education to use it correctly. I would hope that Solly would reveal his primary language to his gentle readers, so that we can understand his frame of reference, if he is, in fact translating from his primary language.

  30. Johnny Eucharist Says:

I’ve yet to see any real response to the quote, let alone a compelling argument. All I’ve learned is that the “evil” in the world is done by the hands of men but the “good” is god working through humans. I’m very pleased to live without these beliefs because it seems to me that it would be a horribly depressing existence.

  31. electrabotanical Says:

Whether or not god is a jerk is immaterial to me. It’s all the godbotherers in politics and business that are causing trouble here and now.

  32. solomon Says:

    Jeff,

May I remind you this is not an English forum. You can bring your issues elsewhere.

  33. solomon Says:

    Admin,
I did’nt call Phil Lynott a jerk because he asks a reasonable question about god. But I call him one because he accuses God.
“Why does God let children die?”
Can’t you see he uses the word “let”.
He’s implying that God deliberately lets children die.
See…he is not asking, he is accusing.
So the labeling of jerk to Phil Lynott stays or is a justs for him.

  34. solomon Says:

“and was the foundational document for the Qu’ran if I am not mistaken.”
    Atheists MC,
    Indeed you are mistaken.
The Bible was not the foundational document for the Qu’ran. The foundational document for the Qu’ran was the true Torah, Injil & Zabur which are twisted into the Bible. Got that?

  35. solomon Says:

    HI.. HO.. all atheists!

Get back to the one and only true God Almighty.

  36. Admin Says:

“See…he is not asking, he is accusing.”

No, it’s a clearly a question. Can’t you see the question mark at the end?

So I ask you again, why do you insult a person who asks a reasonable question? Is this typical behaviour for a Muslim?

  37. solomon Says:

The question mark is only a symbol to hide the true motive of the statement. So theres no whatsoever case of insulting a person who asks a reasonable question. Case closed.

  38. nonDelusionalReality Says:

It is impossible to have an intelligent religious argument. “Intelligent Religious” is an oxymoron.

If someone doesn’t value evidence, what can you say to them? What can you prove to them?

Some people will be delusional morons for their whole life.

It is blatantly ignorant to assume that primitive primates imaginative answer of a invisible being as the cause to everything they didn’t understand, is still a viable answer to anything in today’s world of amassed human knowledge, and to think so, proves the primate part of their brain is in control and is itself proof of evolution.

  39. Admin Says:

Sol: “The question mark is only a symbol to hide the true motive of the statement.”

Question not statement. But instead of giving an answer you insult him? I think this says a lot about you and your personal insecurities. A sincere person would have a reasonable answer.

  40. electrabotanical Says:

“There are those that turn to Heaven
There are those ask questions why
If God is in the heavens
Why does God let children die?”

Some say things like “god wanted to have another angel in heaven” when a child dies. This only turns god into a monster that abducts children from their families for his own sick reasons.

  41. CaptainZero Says:

Good question, Phil. The more serious religious will say Her reasons are her own and will no doubt redound to Her glory later. They don’t make it clear how.

  42. solomon Says:

    Admin,
It’s clear that Phil deliberately accuses God. What do you get in bailing such a character? Phil on the other hand should have ask first, before accusing. With full respect he should put it this way.
” God….why does it all has to be this way….all those childrens dying….I don’t understand.”

  43. Admin Says:

”It’s clear that Phil deliberately accuses God.”

No he doesn’t. The quote is a question, not an accusation. And you insult him because you don’t have a good answer.

  44. solomon Says:

    Admin,

Don’t pretend, a question could’nt meant for accusation. Why would I be afraid of such questions? I have been able to elaborate it at lengthy.
“Your behaviour suggests you’re afraid of such questions. Why?”
Sorry to say, the above is also a form of accusation.

  45. Admin Says:

“Why would I be afraid of such questions?”

Up to you to say. People who feel the need to insult questioners are clearly frightened of their questions.
