  1. Nefari Says:

And governors of Georgia pray for rain.

  2. Critic Says:

Nefari: you’ve hit on one of the most disgusting events I’ve read about in the last year. What a truly pitiful example of sucking up to the religious fundies that seem to dominate US churches.

Of course, within a few days it rained, and the rain was evidence that god loves ignorant reactionary screw-ball southern religious fundamentalists. No one followed up on the fact that the rain made no difference in the drought. No one asked why god would care about the lawns of some materialistic middle class ignoramuses. They just saw this random precipitation event as evidence that their religion was supreme.

Gotta love the stupidity of the religious mind.

  3. Nefari Says:

“A miracle! A miralce!” they cry.

Yet a miracle is an act against nature. And there was nothing unnatural about the rain.

More likely a case of over-eager minds in search of evidence to an irrational and preconceived conclusion.

  4. Terence Meaden Says:

“If you were taught that elves caused rain, every time it rained, you’d see the proof of elves.” Ariex

—-And that sums up the preconceptions and limited cerebral capabilities of all the brainwashed theists.
