alledgedly, the biggest US nukes have a 25(MT) punch !!!

why dont we just shot-put a couple of those big boys

over to sand-land ( after a polite request to knock

off the honor killings, of course ).

hell, we can always tell em’ our RELIGION said

    it was ok !!!!!

I shudder at the phrase “authority of religion” in this quote. It describes something rotten in the state of – well, almost everywhere. Can societies strip religion of its unearned and undeserved authority?

Presumably it’s possible, as there is evidence of whole nations switching from one religion to another, which meant that they were convinced that their new delusion was in some way better than the old one. But is it possible to convince people that rationality is better than woo-woo? Or is the societal inertia too great?

Several questions to which I have no answers.

  3. Rj Says:

i got no answers either, Arch.

    but i think there’s great truth in P.T. Barnum’s

    viewqpoint on suckers !

  4. Sinjin Smythe Says:

It is at the very least incompatible: honoring Mary Magdalene and all the women that presumably made the bread broken in Eucharistic rememberance of Christ, and then honour killings.

Without Mary, and indeed women, there can not be Chritianity as defined by the New Testament.

Also Islam and the profit Mohammed too, are invalid.

Beyond this, honour killings, the contradiction speaks to the greatest of evil. Which of course, it is.

There can be no honor in killing. For Instance: Defending the people and the Constitution of The United States is a great honor but at a very heavy price.

For some it is in the dying, for others it is in the killing.

  5. n0m0l0s Says:

What they termed as “honour’ killings is not part of the true religion.

  6. Sinjin Smythe Says:

n0m0l0s please explain “except for just cause” Holy Quran, Chapter 25, Verse 68

    Or aren’t you well versed?

  7. Jeff Says:

This is just a dumb question:

Why are so many american Catholics so much more obedient to the church’s teaching on abortion than on the death penalty? And why aren’t the Bishops threatening to deny communion to legislators and governors who support and/or participate in that form of honor killings?

  8. Sinjin Smythe Says:

    n0m0l0s see:

“unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth”

Who decides who has spread corruption on earth?

Dude you are missing the forest for the trees. The True Religion is the very most vile religion.

  9. Dan Says:

I had thought that maybe you were Muslim – sorry that I was mistaken. Thanks for clearing that up.

    What religion ARE you anyway?

  11. n0m0l0s Says:

    Ain’t it clear enough?

  12. n0m0l0s Says:

    Sinjin Smythe,

You clearly abused the interpretation of Holy Quran, Chapter 25, Verse 68. Don’t try to pull some cheap stuffs.

  13. Dan Says:

    No, it isn’t clear.
Why ARE you so cowardly that you refuse to answer, anyway?

  14. Dan Says:

Also, for Islam, the Quran quite clearly states in that verse that murder is okay some of the time. So he’s not stretching the meaning of the Quran at all.

Therefore Honor Killings are okay in Islam.
Therefore, according to you, Islam is not the true religion.
    Therefore, you’re not Muslim.
    What ARE you?

  15. n0m0l0s Says:

I did not say Islam is not the true religion. I’am only implying Sinjin Smythe is screwing the interpretation of Holy Quran, Chapter 25, Verse 68.

  16. Dan Says:

Sorry, Sinjin got the interpretation right as far as I can tell. But you’re right, you might be Muslim. But surely a Muslim be able to see that the Quran CLEARLY condones honor killings.

    So what ARE you, anyway?

  17. n0m0l0s Says:

There ain’t a piece of evidence in the verses stating your claim.

  18. Dan Says:

“Because of this did We ordain unto the children of Israel that if anyone slays a human being – unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth.”

Corruption can be interpreted in many ways, but let’s stop fooling ourselves – for many Muslims, this includes Honor Killings.
