“What else, other than shared faith, could have brought Tony together with his friend and comrade-in-arms, George 'Mission Accomplished' Bush, in their life-saving and humanitarian intervention in Iraq?”

As a Republican nothing pains me more than the reliance upon faith in god in decisions about war/military intervention.

When I think of the lives lost and the inhumane barbarism of war I’m both thankful and deeply disappointed. Thankful that none of the wars the US entered into in the last century were entered into by a Republican president, and of course deeply troubled and disappointed by the fact that a Republican president would start off the new century with such blatant ignorant stupidity.

Nothing offends me more than an interventionist foreign policy. It is against the very principals of the United States, it is terrible economic policy, and it degrades our nation.

The disgust of George Bush present in today’s quote is for me the same as as what must be for Richard Dawkins in Tony Blair.

I don’t know how the neo-Cons get to label themselves conservative as there can be nothing conservative in an interventionist foreign policy.

Manipulative theocratic elite rich scumbags hell bent on ruling the world yes, conservative no.
