    I really like this quotation, though I suspect one could dispute the second sentence. For anyone living around 1000 CE, let alone a blind Syrian poet, it must have taken a lot of courage to be as blunt as this.

    I agree Arch, this statement is timeless. “Idle tales” Wow!

    It is easy to imagine idle ancient tent dwellers sitting around for extended periods of time just dreaming up all this crap.

    Inquisitive minds with the freedom to ask questions will quickly find the boundaries of any dogma.

    That’s why Islam, in a storm of stupidity and accusations of heresy, brought its own Golden Age to an end.

    Islam is and always has been an enemy of free thought and expression.
