“If there is a God and he oversaw all of the wars and natural disasters on this planet… I think everyone should run. That dude has a temper.”

  1. Kittie Says:

He would certainly have to explain natural disasters and free will.
and god would most certainly be a sociopath with no conscience whatsoever. No capacity to feel remorse or empathy for his creation. A temper would imply emotion that I don’t believe – (should there turn out that there is a being of sort) the “god” has.

Kittie, it is a shame this site doesn’t have a ‘Like’ button…

  3. Sinjin Smythe Says:

The ancient wisdom of religion turns out isn’t really wisdom, just an ever changing amalgamation of nonsense and threat.

God’s glory is isn’t so glorious, rather it is more vile filth than anything else,

Were god to exist, we have more reason to attack god than appreciate him in any way.

Temper? That “dude” would be a genuine, immoral horse’s ass! This is one more piece of evidence to show that such foolishness is fake. Nobody, and I mean nobody could be that mean.

i get tired of all that crap, too.

humans try to endlessly anthropomorphize the idea of a diety….

and it’s generally a ludidrous exercise. that gentle quote the other day from

Hawking subtly tried to point that out…….. but people cant seem to even

TRY to envision things beyond their little frames of reference.

that’s partly why it’s such a devastating action to feed this stuff to

kids, (( god is WATCHING YOU )) and to stunt their possible

ideation viv a vis universe/ reality concepts. really awful, i think.

jamie kilstein is a jerk…..but even relativly mindless statements

like his just add fuel to an already perverted idea.

even now , part of the nation is considering electing an admitted Mormon

to the presidency………and THEIR grip on reality is shakey at best.

he’ll probably start channelling Joseph Smith during cabinet meetings.

    Ah Well………………….

    LOVE your first sentence.

Thanx R j. I’m interested in understanding the thread of commonality or traits/stories that run through the many religions: The virgin birth, the Winter equinox, the resurection, and that kind of stuff.

I don’t think science has to debunk religion so much as religion needs to conceal its truth.

The more people know, the sillier it sounds.
