I’d say that sounds like a fair trade, but only if they’ll turn over all the functions that require thought – like voting, purchasing power, etc.
On the other hand, let’s just take all the things that science and technology have created out of their lives – like modern medicine, electricity, metallurgy, etc., and see how long their anti-social behavior survives.
Jeff – Right! Pretty hard to spend your time ranting about ‘evolutionists’ when you’re starving to death because you’ve dismissed the Haber process as evil science. Being ignorant isn’t so bad. Being WILLFULLY ignorant make you an idiot. And a danger to the rest of us.
I prefer to think of my solution as an empirical experiment in Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Or as Jerry Pournelle & Larry Niven put it “Think of it as evolution in action”.
Love my friends who thank god for their baby.. which was conceived through invitro – after god made it where they couldn’t have a baby without science…
so tempting to point it out.. of course it would be really sweet to be able to say the guy who invented invitro was an atheist.. but I don’t know that…
