24th February 2013

“After all possible shades of moaning from Christians about being persecuted and discriminated against, this issue brings us face-to-face with the reality. The Church still wants everyone, not just its disciples, to adhere to its own particular version of life.”

I am persecuting Christian sects by not joining them!

    ALLAN……………….

your post reminds me a little of one of groucho’s old quotes…

” i wouldnt join any club who would have ME as a member !! ”

I would caution Richard that the pain is not that “The church “wants everyone,…version of life”, but that their beliefs are wrong. One must be a disciple to be a member of a church. You either do or not believe if you are a Catholic that if all duties are performed properly, you get to go heaven. This is not the problem. The problem remains that it just absolutely untenable and ridiculous!

What is the ‘issue’ to which Richard Brook’s quotation refers? It seems lacking context. Otherwise, given suitable explanation, one would be inclined to agree .

  5. Sinjin Smythe Says:

He that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness. – Mark 3:29

Matthew 12:31-32 “And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” (Matthew 12:30-32, TNIV)

“Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven all their sins and all the blasphemies they utter. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” (Mark 3:28-29, TNIV)

NOTICE TO GOD: I deny the existence of the holy spirit. the son of man is a poorly written fiction, the holy ghost is nothing.

I stand in contempt of you god, If you have any strength to punish me punish me now!

…well? That didn’t work. I wonder what you have to do to get this guys attention? I’ve destroyed his bibles, I’ve vandalized his churches, I’ve actively insulted his parishioners, and I’ve denied/blasphemed the holy spirit and still no response. I wonder if I were to take a dump on the altar?

Even on Sunday morning you can’t get a mere utterance from this prick.

The problem is not that the CHURCH wants all of us to live like we belonged, it is that ALL religions do exactly that. Name any issue that some religion wants enacted into law, and it is because the rest of us don’t see things their way, so they want GOVERNMENT to make us live as though we do.

I agree with Napoleon, Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich…
