“Fundamentalists are mounting one challenge after another in courts and Employment Tribunals. They are trying hard to undermine the laws that protect gay people from discrimination. They are seeking to create a hierarchy of rights that places Christian dogma over the rights of people to fair treatment. They must not be allowed to succeed.”

you know…I read a quote like this and, at least for me, i just sigh.
there is SO much more in this life to be concerned about….so MANY
more real and pressing problems. worrying about the folks living in the
alternate life styles seems hardly worth the effort.
i mean here is this marvelous wonder of the human brain (MIND) ,
and we squander its almost limitless ablities by bogging it down
with petty nonsense……………..really pathetic.
well, happily, there are certain members of the international
community moving ever closer to nuclear destruction !!!
and pretty soon we’ll have done the rest of the universe a
huge favor and vaoprized our foolish and shallow selves
RIGHT OUT OF EXISTENCE !!!
cant get here soon enough for me.

RJ – crack open a bottle and lets talk. You must be having a bad day for this to get to you. Don’t wish it away like that… “nucular” destruction… I am from Texas you know…
Watch a lecture by Michael Shermer on belief and you will see that this wonderful mind was set up to be bogged down with patternicity. Some of us have overcome it and others have not. It is getting better according to Steven Pinker. Let’s enjoy a drink and laugh at them as Billy Joel sings it is better to laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints… because only the good die young. And I am too old now to die young!

I wouldn’t worry. The younger you are, the more accepting of homosexuality you are. These folks are literally a dying breed. The arc of history and all that…

R J I’m kinda on the same wave length. Who cares?
I don’t care about the gender of people who want to marry.
I don”t care about alot of stuff like the gender of people who get married. Like I don’t care about the color of the skin of people who want to get married, their differences on religious matters, their view on long term investments, the styles of clothing they like to wear, and other things like these.
