I can’t really see all irrational fear going away even if religion did exit stage left. I think humans are able to find things to be prejudiced about without even knowing another person’s religious beliefs… so I may not give religion as much credit for those things as it is a useful tool for them…
I think we’re going to wait a while on that one – the idiot(s) who did it may not have been the best bomb makers, but they just might have been stupid enough to get away with it for a while – depends on how low or high tech they went for the fuse. If they went low tech, it could be tough to find them. And it depends upon how much evidence was trashed during the aftermath and making sure the scene was cleared before the crime scene folks could start going over it. According to CNN, the forensic folks didn’t get their hands on the scene until this AM sometime.
Go get ’em, BPD, Mass State and FBI. Happy hunting.
