The problem of electing believers, regardless of their particular brand of idolatry. Legislators who put their religious beliefs ahead of the good of their constituents have betrayed their nation and oaths no less than if they had sold military secrets to an enemy. It is treason whether it is in response to the call of ideology or god, and should be treated as such.

quick note to jeff and sinjin…………
hi guys. well, again, my mis-spent youth (( and generally dissapated
adulthood )) is coming back on me. so… i’m a little under the weather.
however…this is just to thank you guys for your MANY contributions
to this site. always thoughtful….and, sometimes happily provocative.
please keep reading and contributing. it means a great deal
to us broken-down old plowhorses to be in touch with active minds.
best as always…………… R J
