    This, I think, is the closest to how I feel about it. I don’t think that any answer we have postulated to date is correct.

    Reminds me of the quote “an atheist is not so different from a theist, he just believes in one less God than the theist”.

    The apologist tries to say that the concept of god or gods belief, or that the many different faiths, are just different ways to know the divine, but that simply begs for verisimilitude.

    Actually, I think she has it a bit wrong – it isn’t the religions that we don’t think are true, just their single unifying tenant, that of a god however they choose to express it. Pull that one out from underneath, and the whole edifice built on the concept falls to the ground.

    a) a supernatural entity that has brought all things into being

    b) a supernatural entity that then wishes to be WORSHIPPED

    for being such a cosmic swell guy !!!

    see… it’s the worshipped part that is such puke. if there’s any real

    worship you might credit stephen hawking .
