“If I want the school to remain secular it is because secularism – for me – is a principle of mutual respect, because it opens a space for dialogue and peace between the religions, because it's the best means to fight against religious sectarianism.”

The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), Salvation Army, The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, the Manmasi National Christian Army (MNCA), the Knights of Columbus, Army of God, et cetera.

Why always this tie to militancy? If god is all love who needs armies and knights?

Why also is it always the apocalypse? Thousands of years of warning and still no apocalypse.

Seems it would all be a lttile more plausible if the organistions were called things like the Peaceful Little Lambs of God or the Pleasant and Respectful Volunteers of God, the Tolerant and Accepting Friends of Jesus.

I’ve wondered the same thing Sinjin. The liturgy sung in church is all about victory for our God! Why is the God of love always engaged in battle?
