    All the more reason for reading it as a fun artifact of a forgotten time. Exactly the way we read the works attributed to “Homer”, and with far less literary content, to be honest.

    If we did not know that Ovid wrote “The Metamorposes” would that make the facts and the stories contained in it any less true?
