So very very true, and why it is hard to debate or reason with theists…

Other than acceptance, which automatically implies error within the faith, what other choices are there?

My favorite is when they get all flustered and say “hey its pretty arrogant to think you atheists have a lock on reason”, as if you could equate theism to atheism.

They routinely attempt to reduce atheism to a “belief system” so they can say “well you believe what you want, I believe in Ra the Sun god”

They can never seem to get that atheism means without belief, it isn’t a belief system, it is the absense of a belief system.

They can fully comprehend an absence of belief in Santa Claus, Sasquatch, the Loch Ness Monster, the Kragen, Harry Potter, and a whole host of other supernatural nonsense they just can’t take the next logical step with regard to the god.

Then of course they would have you believe they use reason? Well maybe part time at best.
