This quote is not so good.
    1) It sounds like dogma.
    2) The religious can, and often do, say the same thing about religion: “My religion is true whether or not you believe in it or not”.
    3) “Science” as a best method for learning about our world, does not seem to be something that is true or false. Maybe it is preferable to refer to scientifically gained results and conclusions as being true or false, but not science itself.
    4) We must also admit that science has produced many wrong conclusions in its history. Thankfully it is very susceptible to correction and revision.

The good thing about science is that it does not require belief.

netdude, your last sentence is exactly what NDT said, and completely true if you are talking about science as a method of exploring, excuse me, the cosmos.
