“The onus to make sense of such nonsensical words as spiritual and holy must fall on religious adherents. The fact that they fail so demonstrably to do so is instructive.”

I’m afraid that Dawkins set the bar unfairly high here. How could anyone make sense of this meaningless fiddle faddle? These belong in the same book of dead and disgraced or imaginary concepts as phrenology, Lysenko’s Biology, confession, alchemy, holocaust denial, dragons, world engulfing floods, moderate republicans, homeopathy, acupuncture, $3 ballpark beer, the chupacabra, resurrection, heaven, hell, non-gay priests and the Easter Bunny. You follow this shit and you’ll never have enough breadcrumbs to get home.

  2. Terence Meaden Says:

As Chris says, when you think about it, it’s the religious who invented these concepts.
The non-religious know that there are no such things—save what circulates as fancies in the minds of these fantasizers.”
