“[Europe is] moving backwards in the area of religion because legislative bodies on the continent are increasingly moving further away from Christian principles. Laws being passed in almost every country in Europe do not coincide with Christian principles. [Religious] superiors have a clear challenge, and at the same time an inescapable task: to root out the subtle forms of internal secularisation that have become present in our surroundings.”

It’s funny how different this statement reads when read by an atheist.

Renshia, I agree completely. The phrase

…root out the subtle forms of internal secularisation…

sounds like something straight from the Inquisition – which is one “Christian Principle” that I hope we continue to move far away from.

For Captain Zero and the world:

“[Europe is] moving forward in the area of atheism because legislative bodies on the continent are increasingly moving further away from Christian principles. Laws being passed in almost every country in Europe do not coincide with Christian principles. [Religious] inferiors have a clear challenge, and at the same time an inescapable task: to find ways to help their charges and congregations make the transition from irrational thinking to rational and to encourage and nurture all forms of internal secularisation that have become present in our surroundings.”
