    This just shows that non-theists everywhere have a lot of teaching to do to get their message through to the godbots who do not know what atheism is.

    On 24 March AtheistWeb gave a quotation by Madalyn Murray O’Hair 1919 – 1995 which began: “But people… don’t even know what atheism is. It’s not a negation of anything . . . ”

    Anyone capable of unbiased rational thought will realize that humanity had moral values long before the Old Testament was cobbled together and set out its own imperfect claim to morality with its slaughter, stoning and all that. You have only to look at the Ten Commandments as set out by a tribe of patriarchal desert nomads to spot this, for there was never any move to give equality to women, no condemnation of slavery, and so on.
