“The idea that the sensual is of significance whereas the intellectual is suspect; that if somebody feels something we must give it an immediate respect and that if somebody calls something their faith they have already assumed a kind of spurious moral high ground, whereas if somebody says 'I believe this because I've subjected it to analysis, I've looked at the evidence and I've drawn a conclusion,' then somehow that seems rather cold, and suspect, and dark.”

I suspect Ben is talking for the majority but I have felt exactly the opposite for as long as I can remember.
