Absolutely poignant and insightful. Truth outside the rational sphere can be based and established purely on numbers. For one person, belief that a pink zebra is moving in the backyard, connotes insanity. If many believe that a supernatural power interacts with them, a fundamental trait of religion, requires a leap of faith. Atheism requires a trust in rational thought above all.
