Yes, there’s good poetry and prose, for which James’ assembly of scholars were partly responsibe
“and some good morals ”
Yes, but there other good morals that should be there and yet are absent (like condemnation of slavery, a necessary equality of women with men, etc.)
“and a wealth of obscenity”
Yes, to this too. Obscenities recounting needless countless killings and much grief.
“And over a thousand lies” meaning the fictions, the fairy stories, the so-called miracles, and many others.
