    This is my favorite quote,
of course I credit Stephen H Roberts (1901-71).
“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”
I must say this quote does get people thinking.
I love to talk to theists about why they dismiss all other gods. If I can slow them down from telling me about all the ridiculous promises in the bible. Then show them some truly ridiculous quotes from the bible.
Then steer them down the path of religions’ history. Oh, baby!
Few and far between have been my sucesses, yet, that quote has helped my childrens understanding greatly, and also increased my conversion rate from (guessing) 5% to 7% of people I spend a lot of time with.

Many faithbots say that all gods are valid. It just depends on where you live. They take the “God works in mysterious ways” route to justify any paradox because to them it does not matter – as long as you are not an atheist.
