If you haven’t been following this it’s time to start. Appalling and must be stopped. Attempting to criminalize the criticism of religion – specifically Islam. And when Iran begins hosting anti-racism forums, something stinks like a dead fish.
I have posted a link to this article a couple of times before on AQOTD and got no reaction (I thought perhaps Admin got it from some other source so I had to ask). Why? Is it because I am one of your dreaded theists? Even I can see that this effort to criminalize the criticism of religion world-wide is “the devil’s work.”
Fight this effort however you can. No idea – religious or otherwise – should be immune by law from criticism (or even verbal attack). Here in the USofA, do not allow the Obama Administration’s somewhat admirable efforts to bring “tolorance” for all (believers and non-believers alike) to government policy buy into this wlof-in-sheep’s-clothing idea. His administration’s appointment of all most all conservative or luke-warm-at-best progressive Christians to his “faith council” has me for one a little concerned.
There is an old maxim “By attempting to please everyyone, you end up pleasing no one.” I think that is the issue with the UN, by sucking up and appeasing every religion, it arouses the anger of all of them
