Ahhh now see, these are exactly the type of comments that elicit that, “militant atheist” attitude from theists.
How about, “God is, as it were, the invisible metaphysical abyss into which all contradictions flow.” The same basic point is made, without such offensive commentary. I expect theists to respect my point of view and the polite thing to do is to reciprocate. In other words, play nice.

I prefer something like:
“God is—always has been— the nonsense abyss into which the simple pour their questions.”

I have always believed it was a vile type of sewer fluid that was coming out of the mouths of preachers that caused so much stink about religion!
