“In the beginning there was nothing. God said, 'Let there be light!' And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better.”

Solomon – you don’t believe I am God? You can test me if you like. anything you can think of, I can do since you seem to need proof.

  2. CaptainZero1969 Says:

Ms. Degeneres is a smart woman and makes a great point. If there exists light, but nothing at all for it to interact with, what have you got? Also, the biblical statement is more than a little silly – how can you have light without any light producing objects? If your goal is to produce light, making stars would be where you’d start. It’s stunning that there are adults walking around that actually take the creation myths seriously.

    Dear CaptainZero1969,
I don’t have to entertain to some lunatic like you.

  4. John Says:

When I was in college in a Public Speaking Class, I once started one of my assigned speeches by flicking a Bic lighter on and stating that “if I did this 2000 years ago, what would I be called?”

    CaptasinZero1969, I have always believed that I was a god…

  5. John Says:

My sincere apologies to you sir for misspelling your name.

  6. Magsk Says:

If the light is on – why can’t believers see that the “clothes has no emperor”

  7. CaptainZero1969 Says:

Sol – The religion of peace blew up a bunch more people yesterday. Why might that be?

Oh, and FYI. You mention hell a lot. Either you have a fixation with eternal punishment or your religion does. You should talk to someone about that. It’s worth noting that “hell” is as meaningless as “god” to most who frequent this site so you kind of lose credibility every time you mention it.

Apples, Hell, Nessie, Little Green Martians. One of these is real. 5 points if you can pick it out.

  8. Holysmokes Says:

Well Solomon, as I stated earlier, we are going to have to agree to disagree. I prefer logic, evidence and common sense. I am unsure what you require, but from what I can tell, it is merely someone writing a book and getting you to believe it. I am not trying to insult you, but that is basically the way it looks, just like Christians and Buddhists. I only hope that one day you will see the illogic of your belief and help the rest of us bring peace to the world. It is obvious that religions are incapable, primarily because they all insist that they are correct. It is truly a shame and this rediluous, “stubborness without evidence” will likely be the downfall of the human race.

  9. tony cynic Says:

Sad but true Holysmokes, even their magic book said somthing like ‘there is none so blind as those that refuse to see’

  10. 2cents Says:

Don’t be so gloomy Holysmokes, in many people’s eyes we are heading toward an era where evidence and religion are inescapably going to meet and the outcome will change the course of human history. We need only to learn to get along with all our brothers and sisters despite what beliefs we hold cherished. Not easy, and kind of dreamy, but history shows us that the human experience survives because the circumstances for progress and enlightenment always prevail.

  11. solomon Says:

    Dear John,
Do you want to flick a bigger lighter, the Hell lighter. Then will see what kind of god you are than can escape from it.

  12. solomon Says:

    Dear Holysmokes,
You have all the wrong ideas about this true religion. Sponsoring islam is not about power or interests. Its about the sincere intention for the love of human species to lead them to a true path, to save them from the fires of hell. Its about telling the people the correct & decent way to live where friendship, love, fairness, equality are many other relevant qualities are essential to the entire human species so that nobody is felt they are being left out and everybody can have a fair share in life. God have outlined these path. We may not be comfortable with these rules initially but will get over it after we see the fruits that it bears. God creates human and he knows well what is vital for his creations.
And I have repeatedly say its not without logic, evidence and common sense in Islam, but your skeptism always miss that point. Put aside your skeptism for a while, open your heart, think about what I have been telling all this while, analyse and weigh over & over. Its you yourself that is “stubborness without evidence” but you don’t realize it. Or maybe you are just in a state of confusion.
