    Tech and Sol.
Time and again we see suffering caused by ‘true believers’ and hear the usual reply of
‘They are not true followers of our holy book of choice’.
If your magic book has all the answers and is the word of your all powerful god how come the vast majority of your people get it so wrong.
It is not as if it is just one or two people misreading a small bit of it.
History is filled with millions of devoutly religious people killing each other while screaming about how great their gods are.
As almost all people (99%+) are not being true to your gods word maybe he is not such a great communicator, or maybe he does not exist.
You know how we feel about this, have you got any real answers for us this time?
    I doubt it.

I am a theist, and actually agree with this quote. Philosophically speaking, of course, the divine is indeed “invisible” and “non-existent.”

Funny how Solomon’s post yesterday indicates that he actually believes that his presence here on AQOTD prevents “viewers” from being fooled:

“Hi everybody, here I come again, So due to my brief absence you all think all your views could fool viewers?”

Seems to me this indicates a well established idolatry, ignorant will-to-power, and a massive ego at the heart of Solomon’s self-understanding. Sad, really. And very, very dangerous.

    To all,

I just wanted to let everyone know I am grateful for all of your contributions. I agree with some, disagree with others but I come back daily because I believe discussions like this are happening everywhere and for the betterment of everyone.

I wish each and every one of you an abundant 2010, filled with noble pursuits and unprecedented happiness.

  4. CaptainZero1969 Says:

Thanks 2cents. You have a good year as well.

    P.S.
Say hi to your brother 50 for me.

  5. solomon Says:

    Dear Oxymoronic Christhinker,
You are not a theist. You are a Hypocrite. Don’t try to label me with well established idolatry, ignorant will-to-power, and a massive ego at the heart to purposely tarnish my image to the eyes of the viewers, They already knew your intentions.
You yourself admit that the statement is funny “Funny how Solomon’s post yesterday”.
Can’t anybody have some fun sometimes?
Now you know I’am dangerous. Dangerous only to your misguided thought.

  6. John Says:

Be careful very solomon dude, or some peace loving islamic cleric will slap a fatwa on you for trying to be funny.

  7. The Heretic Says:

    Solomon,
You are not funny. You are sad. The adherents (albeit misguided) to your confused religion are dangerous savages. You make excuses for them to yourself and then tell the rest of the world that they are misguided and not of the faith. But, you do not condemn them openly – you are afraid of them too. I wish it was funny. But their is so much blood on your (collective) hands…..

2010.01.08 (Khyber, Pakistan) – Three children are among five civilians murdered by a Shahid suicide bomber outside a mosque.

2010.01.08 (Bajaur, Pakistan) – Two people are blown to bits by a Taliban roadside bomb.

2010.01.08 (Karachi, Pakistan) – Five mourners at a funeral are shot to death by sectarian Jihadis.

    Definitely not funny.

This “viewer” thinks Oxy’s right on the money about our very homosexually focused islamist fellow. Yes that’s right, the guy that described in detail what happens to the rectum of gay men. He’s got way more issues that being an apologist for his vile creed. I’m sure the “viewers” will judge for themselves.

  9. Oxymoronic Christhinker Says:

Solomon: A Christian theist is exactly what I am. I have on more than one occasion disagreed strongly with many of those who comment here, and have, in turn, come under heavy criticism for my views. That is as it should be. I rarely find the commenters here stupid or dangerous, even when the rhetoric gets quite heated. I have mostly been treated with respect and have even found points of agreement. When a comment IS stupid and/or dangerous, it is almost always a fellow theist. This saddens me. Solomon, you are an easy target, even easier in that you seem blissfully unaware of this. I have probably had a bit too much fun at your expense, but seriously, how could I resist – many of your comments have been pretty damn funny. I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for calling you a hypocrite. A hypocrite refers to someone who INTENTIONALLY pretends to be someone else. But you’re not pretending are you? You really are intolerant. You really are dangerous (make no mistake, the use and misuse of rhetoric is dangerous business). You really do believe in a peaceful god that will send everyone here to burn eternally in the pit of hell. You really are an idolater, power-monger, and an egotistical “true believer.” You really don’t see anything you have said here rude and obnoxious towards your gracious hosts here at AQOTD. You’re really not pretending, you’re straight up and to the point. I can at least respect that. For calling you a hypocrite, I sincerely apologize. But the only thing for any self-respecting theist to do is to oppose everything you stand for. This makes me sad, for it was Jesus (among others) who pointed out that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Sad. Very, very sad. And you, sir, are very, very dangerous.

  10. solomon Says:

    Dear Oxymoronic Christhinker,
Lets get straight to the point. Am I very very dangerous to the Atheist religion & hypocracy? Do my views are true & sincere & struck right to the heart of viewers who can’t see the simplicity of finding & sponsoring truth. God knows who are on the right track & who are not. It reflects in our views & words even if we try hard enough to hide it. I’am not accusing anybody but one can tell their ownself who they really are.
I’am not afraid or hesitate to keep on giving my views with sincere & good intentions but if along the way I sound harsh or rude I too seek apology from the viewers. But I will go on strip naked every lies or deception even if it hurts or I became unpopular. As long as I’am on gods track I will keep on with this mission & save as many humans as possible.

  11. PEB Says:

I don’t agree with the quote. Gravity and the wind are both ‘invisible’ but we know they exist. (Sol & tech should have jumped on this). We know they exist because we can see and measure their effects. God however is invisible, unmeasurable and nonexistent.

  12. Holysmokes Says:

I agree with PEB, but it really depends on an individual’s interpretation of the tail part of the quote; “very much alike

  13. solomon Says:

    Dear Peb,
Now you came up with measurement. Do you know that your measurable issue is out of date. Like I’ve quote earlier ” GOD is comparable with NOTHING” For sure he is UNMEASURABLE!! kah…kah…kah….

  14. PEB Says:

The number of times a fairy flaps it’s wings in a second is unmeasurable.
The number of presents Santa delivers is unmeasurable.
The average number of miles the loch ness monster swims in a day is unmeasurable.
    You get the idea.

  15. solomon Says:

    Dear PEB,

Please admit it. With my previous statement youve already out of argument.
Hit you right in the forehead.

  16. PEB Says:

An atheist ‘out of argument’. Not likely 🙂
I am sure you are making a point somewhere in there.

  17. CaptainZero1969 Says:

Sol, your arguments are as substantial as a meringue. If that’s what you hit PEB with, he’ll be fine after he washes up.

  18. solomon Says:

    Dear PEB & CaptainZero1969,
You can say whatever you like. You all are out of argument this time. You as well as the viewers knew it. Silly to pretend. Admit it and lets get it over with.
May your proud attitude find peace.

  19. PEB Says:

    Have I missed something?

  20. tony cynic Says:

Lets hope Sol is soon ‘out of argument’ too

  21. solomon Says:

    Dear tony cynic,

Your hope will be hopeless. Youre done.

  22. solomon Says:

    Dear All,

Pet must have regret, the most regrettable moment of his life in raising the “measurable” issue brought by their stupid Atheist scholars. I’am pretty sure he is cursed by his Atheist friends now.

  23. tony cynic Says:

    Done replying to that.
Any believers with a stronger argument out there that are interested in debating the quotes of the day are welcome to post, the insane will be ignored.
    All in favour?
I think the ayes have it.

  24. solomon Says:

    Damn to the Atheists,

They think they can fool the believers. Now they themselves are being fooled with UNMEASURABLE shame.
