“The [Catholic] church boasts that its dogma is based on the works of St Augustine – who advocated prostitution in certain circumstances – and Thomas Aquinas – who believed that sperm contained a fully formed tiny human. In what other area of life would people accept the ignoring of scientific and philosophical advances in order to ‘canonise’ the views of medieval minds?”

I too advocate prostitution in certain circumstances: We have a lady down the street who advertises “massage” on her front lawn. $100 here and there adds up for her and this is how she supplements her income. So I can hardly criticize St. Augustine for that. I was also born in August so there is that too.

Then I believe that approximately 1/2 of the substance that leads to the creation of a new person is in sperm so Thomas and I aren’t too far apart on that.

I guess the big difference is the whole belief of the “great spook in the sky” thing. I don’t think there is any requirement to hold a belief in a “great spook in the sky” in order to be OK with prostitution or to believe sperm contains human stuff.

The Vatican (at this point in their denial of common sense and logic on ‘Earth’)
deserves a C-130 dump of condoms; with atheist atoms on em…
indeed. Damn shame how they keep so many folks in need just stagnant.
Folks, hate to break it to ya but the Vatican is legion with the Mormons from what I heard few years back. I mean a Mormon does their books in the USA.. maybe that’s changed but… hey at least Canada is breaking free from the hand of the Vatican.. if true I hear pot will be fully legal July 10th; in CA. Boy wont that cause a piss with all the ‘conslavative’ lobbies/industries owned by/ and judges… and churches.. and mosques. and.. ha. peace!

i get worked up too……………but i comfort myself with these

    simple thoughts :

anything coming out of the catholic church

    is CRAP.

    it’s always been CRAP…………….

and it’s always gonna be CRAP……..

and the whole structure is built on CRAP.

and the ridiculous “pope” is the

biggest CRAP-slinger in the bunch !!!

just think these happy little thoughts, and

you’ll smile like the chesire cat !!!!!
