Many of us see the church as immoral. Same diff.

All the equality legislation that can be thought of will never give them what they really want, which is not equality – but complete acceptance. The true believers can never give this – they are hostage to the “good book” – and unless that thing gets a miraculous overhaul which has god taking responsibility for “making” people that way – then there will just be new demands to rectify new situations brought about because of the new laws created. I see this situation as a comparison of apples to oranges – and apples to apples or bananas to bananas.. if you like. It seems that the laws were written for the apples to oranges – and applied evenly that way. We have a new situation of apples to apples and bananas to bananas – that we need to create laws and make room for – separate from what governs the apples and oranges – this may remove the perceived threat to the apples and oranges.

Yes electra, avoidance of anything that threatens the church: Like the whole pedophilia thing where hushing things up and relocating priests is top priority instead of protecting children.

Kittie I can’t help but to think of the lyric:

“For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
    By hatchet, axe, and saw.”

Is Atheism Increasing at the Expense of Theism?

  5. The Heretic Says:

Sinjun, although your article is interesting, it did not include 4/5 of the world which would include India, China, and the all of the Muslim countries. I am not entirely certain how India and China would shake out percentage-wise, but the Muslim countries are probably around 95% theist.

    good stuff

Yea Heretic it fals into the “I’m just reposing it” file. I thought our people might get something out of it?
