“Anti-Semitism is hatred, violence and discrimination against Jews, not opposition to Israel and Zionism. Zionism, which represents an abandonment of the fight against anti-Semitism, with its belief that Jews are "strangers" in other peoples' lands, is a political movement. We oppose Zionism for the same reason that we opposed apartheid in South Africa.”

And it is Zionsim – not the fight against anti-Semitism – which has resulted in the inability of Israel to find a peaceful way to live with their Arab neighbors after more than 60 years. Yes, it was somewhat true that Mr. Arafat never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. But since his passing, it has been Mr. Netenyahu who has taken over that role – not because of any genuine fear of what the Arabs can do, for Israel has proved repeatedly to be more than a match for anything the Arab powers can do – but because his Zionist principles require that Israel remain a purely Jewish state – something it has never been and can never truly be.
