It changed my life as well Praise the Lord for his infallible Word.Atheist or not you will have to answer to God some day.

  2. Braathwaat Says:

There is no better way on earth to turn a religious person into an atheist than have that person actually read the bible (or koran). The fact that people actually believe the absurdity written in them is something I will never fully understand.

  3. Braathwaat Says:

Sol, I have a question for you. Can Muslims coexist with countries that are not under Sharia law when the Koran states man made governments & free speech (where Allah can be criticized) are an abomination?

The reason I ask is we are told again and again that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this may be true, it seems to me to be entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe committing one act of terror after another in the name of Islam. The fact is fanatics rule Islam and wage war world wide, & the sad truth is that the “peaceful majority” is the “silent majority,” and it is cowed and extraneous.

  4. John Says:

I think there may be extreme proof that money rules even with the faithfully challenged. The muslim extremists are only in charge because of the vast oil money that flows in that direction currently. Like in christianity, take away the bucks and the shit recedes.

  5. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat ,

And the “silent majority” could also be the “silent killer” as well. Aids for example. The crumbling of the family institution as a result of HIV related activities. On the other hand if Sharia law is not implemented in Sudan or Nigeria, situations might get even worse.
Sharia law is not simply implemented following the wishes or thoughts of a certain group or sects of people. Some groups with inadequate knowledge of the law or simply carry it out based on their thoughts and sometimes sentiments is not the one that Allah & the prophet outlined it. A thorough study of the law is needed and carefully implemented. Saudi Arabia & some other Muslim countries have succeeded in implementing it wisely.

There is no problem for Muslims to coexist with countries not under Sharia law. There have been many instances of that nature. They have been able to live peacefully too. But it is wise & advisable to gradually turned that country under Sharia law for means of better control, all for the benefits of mankind.

  6. solomon Says:

    tech,

You too will have to answer to Allah someday.

  7. Rob Says:

how can anyone actually believe a personal god exists?how about a six thousand year universe?christians now him haw around and say the universe may be a little older, their new problem is the bible its self the book of luke lists 74 generations from jesus to adam do the math as christians have done for hundreds of years

  8. Margaret Says:

Nah, those who brag that they read the bible and it is sublime have set EXTREMELY LOW STANDARDS for their god. They never really expect anything real from him. God is great in theory, but atrocious in reality.

Solomon unwittingly proved this point July 16 with his absurd challenge telling atheists to ask natural evolutionary processes to put life on the moon. First of all, evolution is not about the origin of life, it is about the gradual changes in life over time. Second, the theory of evolution has never claimed that a person can call upon it to perform a specified task. Religion has always claimed its Big Daddy in the sky could answer prayers, so I sent the challenge back to Sol, “Ask your god to put life on the moon and see how it works out for ya.” I then got answers back from Sol that god could do it if he wanted to, and from another person, ernie, making excuses that if there was to be life magically appearing on the moon, we would not recognize it because it would be a form adapted to moon conditions, surprisingly confirmatory of one of the premises of evolution, and disappointingly dense, basically saying, “My god is too weak and stupid to make anything that would impress you. As a matter of fact, anything he would make would be so lame, you would not even recognize it as life.”

What does this have to do with the bible? Plenty. Clergy like to preach that god can do absolutely anything, no limits whatsoever. But somehow, the believers never ask god to do anything that we cannot explain by natural processes. Humans have been on the moon–we know what is there. If believers publicly prayed for life on the moon tonight, and tomorrow we picked up telescopic images and broadcast signals from a thriving, modern city on the moon, what could we atheists say to that? The media coverage would be extensive, all humans would learn of the power of god through the answered prayers. All would believe.

Instead, we have ernie saying that his god is only capable of making some nondescript microbe we could not even recognize, and Sol making the excuse that it is not god’s will. Excuses, excuses.

So read the bible, read the promises about god’s supposed limitless power, and continue to ask for insipid nonsense that can never be proven, such as a transformed heart that protects the believer from sin. Look at Mel Gibson as an example, and other believers who fall or fail somehow, and declare it the devil’s handiwork. Amazing how easily the devil can always overpower the tranformative powers of god. Seems to me, the devil is more powerful than god, hands down.

Go ahead, read the bible, and thank god for the advances in human intelligence that were gained in an uphill battle against the hindrances of religion. Surgeons and ICU nurses work around the clock to save the life of your loved one, and you thank your god. Why did you not trust your god and leave your loved one sitting at home without treatment. If it had been in your god’s hand the person would die. Why do you resist your loved one’s death? Do you not believe, as the bible says, that heaven is a much happier place? Of course you don’t. Actions speak louder than words. I work in a hospital: the Christians always want every medical intervention possible, they never want to meet god today.

So read the bible, but DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING REAL. That is the disconnect from reality that believers have–the ability to excuse god from anything relevant. Tech, before you answer back the standard line that I am bitter, I want you to consider that I have a higher standard for god than you do. I actually expect God to be God, worthy of respect and worship, powerful enough for real actions. The god you worship is like a bad boss, taking all the credit for anything remotely good, and blaming any failure on the believer, original sin, the devil. Your god of the bible hides behind weak excuses and rationalizations, a plaything in your mind. Are you really enticed by his empty promises, are you really terrorized by his cruel threats? You think THAT is love?

You can’t have the God you claim. The descriptors don’t fit. If he is all powerful and kind and loving, as the bible claims, then you would not have to engage in mental calisthenics for you to worship him and reveal him to others, for he would be charismatic enough to attract them himself. You are like the high-school friend who sets up a blind date for a classmate, promising something good, but instead, what shows up on the doorstep is a knuckle-dragging, smelly booger-eating creep. (XX or XY, doesn’t matter, ROFLMAO). I have shut the door on it, and yet, tech, you want me to kiss the creep on the lips. You two can hang out, I am out of it.

  9. Braathwaat Says:

Sol, we will never agree as to what is “better for mankind” & I’m not going to re butte the issues your bring up about HIV & family. I am simply trying to understand Muslims. When you say there’s “no problem” with Muslims coexisting in the West, I think that by any definition their is a problem. If Muslims believe the Koran when it says that infidels should be killed or converted then the problem is serious, as it seems to be.

  10. YourSkepticalGuy Says:

I am in agreement with much of your sentiment Margaret. Mostly on topic is the question/observation:

    Why does god hate amputees?

    YSG

  11. Atheist MC Says:

This is why I think that history is on the side of atheism. The more we learn about how the real world is, and the more we develop secular morals, so scripture, rooted in its neolithic ignorance, become irrelevant.

  12. solomon Says:

Who create the 1st. Design? How would the Atheists answer this after what they have blurt out in their lengthy useless rants. All of their rants will be meaningless. See…very short simple reasoning to refute them.

  13. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat,
You don’t simply go around killing infidels. Islam does’nt teach that.

  14. Admin Says:

    Islam does’nt teach that.

Surah 47:4: “When ye encounter the infidels, strike off their heads till ye have made a great slaughter among them”

  15. solomon Says:

    Dear Admin,

    Many have been confused with this surah. That is only part of the surah. If you read the whole surah, the context is the situation during war. You can read the whole surah below;

“Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah’s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost. (4)”

See….Islam have been true all along.

  16. holysmokes Says:

    Braathwaat,

You need to understand that muslins are told by their own worthless book to purposely LIE to all non-muslims if it will further their cause. Solomon knows that he is lying when he states that islam is a peaceful religion. He trades his lack of honor in hopes of getting paid for his deceit after death. He’s a coward, who is willing to sell his soul, (if you believe in such foolishness), for a better life after death. He’d probably sell out his own mother to get into his imaginary heaven.

It’s vitally important for everyone, even christians, to remember that muslims will in fact lie about living together with other religions in order to gain a foothold and eventually take over. They are virus that will spread around the globe.

You may also notice that he keeps harping on, “Who created the first design?” He is far too dense to realize that there is no evidence to show that the first design needed a creator. It’s the same ole dumbass circular reasoning. The first design need a creator, but his god didn’t. Don’t waste your time talking to him. Neither he, nor his pathetic religion is worth a hill of beans.

  17. Admin Says:

the context is the situation during war.

Show me the part that says when Muslims should stop making war against infidels.

  18. solomon Says:

Muslims did’nt create war. They only act in self defence, when provoked, when their religion, survival is at stake, when threatened. So showing you a part of any surah would be unnecessary Admin. It’s just a normal human behaviour that would react to a certain situation.

  19. Margaret Says:

“when their religion, survival is at stake”

In other words, the sacrifice of something real to protect the mind virus.

  20. solomon Says:

No…it means when God’s enemy try to destroy them.

  21. solomon Says:

“He’d probably sell out his own mother to get into his imaginary heaven.”

    Dear Admin,

Holysmokes has shown such a rude behavior by including individual mothers to this scenario. I hope he receives some warnings from you.

  22. Mike G. Says:

Ladies and gentlemen, tonight’s award goes to… MARGARET! In all serious though, folks, why do we even address sol or tech? We all know that they cannot give a serious answer to anything. And even if they were able to shut their trap for one minute, they are far too incapable of understanding the most basic of arguments!

  23. Mike G. Says:

    seriousness*

  24. solomon Says:

    A blind recognition coming from a clown…..
    Whaaa….ka..ka..ka..
    No need to bother…

  25. YourSkepticalGuy Says:

Mike G., I suspect you know I am in agreement with you regarding responses to certain posters – however, because, like too many pigeons in the park, they invariably crap on you and you can either let it be or attempt to get the stain out…

The best bet is generally to try and encourage people to not feed the pigeons and hope they magically disappear.

    YSG

  26. solomon Says:

    YourSkepticalGuy with his imaginary pigeons…

  27. Margaret Says:

“when God’s enemy try to destroy them”

Why does your god not fight his own battles? If you are right about his power, he could end the conflict in a nanosecond, but he doesn’t. People have been killing each other for millenia to defend god’s honor. Does he faint at the sight of blood like a antebellum Southern belle twirling her fan and winking at you, you hairy muslim brute, save me, save me!!!

I already know your answer– he is giving humans mercy by allowing enough time for humans to see his glory, but instead the time is used to foment hatred. Standard answer, blame the humans for that, say it is out of god’s control. What is that about god’s omnipotence again?

  28. solomon Says:

    Margaret,
It will be a shameful sight if God interfere with battles of his disdain powerless creations. That only happens in your childish imagination like in ‘Gulliver’s travels’, a man fighting for the small people. Would you want to interfere in the battle between ants or insects colonies? Or maybe wars between viruses & vaccines?

  29. solomon Says:

    Islam=vaccines
    Atheists=viruses

  30. Margaret Says:

But I do not claim to love ants and insects, and I don’t plan to roast some of them alive in fire and pamper others in luxury.

If I did have an ant farm that was mine, and gnats got after them, Yes, I would attack the gnats. What is so shameful about that?

You actually think if god does something to help “his colony”, it is shameful? I do not understand your thinking at all.

  31. Margaret Says:

As hard as Sol tries, he continually proves the atheist’s position is true.

The ant farm analogy>>god’s inaction>>Sol is OK with that>> proof that god stands only if you set EXTREMELY LOW STANDARDS for him.

  32. Braathwaat Says:

Sol, if the argument about 1st design is true. Surely nothing as complex as a supernatural intelligence (god) can be of mere chance so there must be a super-designer who designed god but a super designer would need a super-super designer which leads to an infinite series of designers.

  33. Braathwaat Says:

Holysmokes, I agree with you 100%!

  34. solomon Says:

    Braathwaat ,

A single super designer is enough to create the 1st design of things. If there are many super designers, the chances of your nose orientated upside down is probable.
