    R j and Kittie,

I didn’t get back in time to reply to your posts yesterday. R j yes my dad is a funny guy, used to write a cartoon for an Army paper back in the 50’s.

And Kittie I have a difficult time with laying the blame upon women/calling Mary Magdalene a whore. That is what the papacy has done. Aside from whatever stigma that is associated with promiscuous women, I don’t think it is fair play to castigate women for overindulging in sexual activity. Let alone Mary Magdalene.

Years ago I dated a stripper, if she must be labelled, and yes she had an unusual appetite for sex and enjoyed being sexual. She taught, and that really was the role teacher, me many enjoyable things under the covers.

I was stupid and emotionally underdeveloped and could not keep up with pace of her sexuality. So I lost her. Some people said good riddens, but I will say I miss her. That she wasn’t only a sex monster, she was also very kind, caring, and smart. She was working at the Playhouse “I think it was called” on Old Blossom Trail in Orlando Florida. She studied computer science at a local college.

A young man gets a blowjob and tells his friends that so and so is a cocksucker. A mature man gets a blowjob and he keeps it a secret, he brings her flowers, asks her to dinner, buys her gifts, and is nice to her. Maturity in a man is often very late in coming and hopefully sooner than erectile dysfunction.

I know no whores at 48 years of age. The appropriate response being, not telling your idiot friends, but going down and pleasuring her. That in my mind is fair play.

    Sinjin,

Is it implied somewhere that women were the ones calling MM a whore? I always thought it was the Catholic Church. My point was just that at the time my dad passed away, we had some discussions about the bible. In trying to demonstrate to him that the bible had changed and was a man-made for man book, I told him about the Catholic Church and MM. He disliked Catholics so much he didn’t even recognize that his bible was a product of the same group. Anyway, my husband’s father thinks all American women are whores… He should know, he has been with enough of them..

No you are correct, the labeling of Mary as a whore was essentially something the Catholic Church/Pope inferred, implied, allowed to go unchallenged to minimize the status of women in general. Makes it easier to for men to shine if we put the candle of women out.

As for American women being whores I’d say no more so than any other women of the world. I don’t even like to think in that term though. You see while I was in the Navy I managed to have sex with women of many different nationalities, ethnicities, and of the variety of religious subscription.

A funny story, or at least one that struck me as funny, was that of a woman in Abu Dhabi. I had thought Muslim women, in so religious a part of the world and under such religious pressure, would never be prommiscous. As so many women in repressive cultures do, hooking up with an American service person on the hope of escape, even if only for a few short hours.

In The aftermath of my service experience I decided, there is no such thing as a whore.
