I guess they don’t have freedom of speech in that country. Interesting that they have freedom of nearly everything else. You can commit any manner of vice that you please, but if you call a spade a spade, you’re going to jail. What a pile of crap!

I had a good chuckle at this.

When we stop treating muslims like a spoiled child this kind of Politically Correct bullshit will end. Religion, is not anything we should respect. It should ridiculed and laughed at. We, of course already know this. I wish the rest of the world would catch up. Way to go Heretic you nailed it.

Gentelmen, minds are like parachutes they only function when they are open.

Tech,
You know, I started to respond to your statement, and then I recalled arguments I’ve with other theist over the same bullshit. You’re not worth the effort. There’s nothing I can say that will change your mind and frankly I don’t really care. Some people can’t be helped, others think everybody is screwed up but them. This is the category you fit in.

The very idea that the truth can be illegal scares me. I thought Holland was an enlightened country.
Tech: a parachute has to be very carefully prepared if it is to function on opening.

It is open minded to be able to stand criticism of cherished beliefs. Holland does not understand the difference between respect for individuals to hold beliefs and respect for the beliefs themselves, neither do most religions. Regardless of how offended Muslims may be by Wilders’ opinions, as long as he is not advocating violence or discrimination he should be free to express them.

Tech – we do have open minds, but yes it’s true we’re not so open-minded as you to accept hearsay without being able the evidence for ourselves. You see, we actually don’t accept any nonsense that any fool tells us, believe it or not.

@Tech
There’s a big difference between being open-minded, and not seeing the forest from the trees. Running around screaming that you have the “truth” and not being accepting to any other form of proof, opinion, or even criticism is not being open-minded at all. Standing up and stating, “I don’t know, give me proof” and understanding that out of all the millions of religions out there, there is a gigantic margin for human error, especially since you’re dealing with human ideologies governed by human emotion. This is not only being open-minded, this is being so open that you’re able to see the big picture and handle both your mind and allegiances in a safe manner.

Many do tech, sigh!
