Everyone has false beliefs, holding these false beliefs is often part of the process of learning about the world and developing opinions. We should all have some private space to formulate their own ideas and it’s a matter of civility to not challenge people over every mistaken notion they may have.
Religious belief often falls into this category.
However, firmly held, politicized, dangerous, outspoken, illegal or anti-scientific religious belief should definitely be challenged and openly criticized. Hiding behind accusations of religious intolerance is simply camouflage – this is where this Dawkins quote applies.
