“How can any rational, educated man, in his sixtieth decade, possibly convert to Rome, as Blair seems to have done?”

I AM 48 AND HAVE CONVERTED TO EVERY CONSCIOUSE THOUGHT I CAN PERCIEVE WITH THE WILL TO CONCIEVE IT ,TRUE FREEDOM.

  2. Holysmokes Says:

    Simple, it’s called collecting votes.

  3. solomon Says:

    NoReflection,

You are only concern of your conscious thought. You don’t even try to look on the subconscious thoughts.Subconscious thoughts like dreams or imaginations does exists and you must have experience it but you chose to ignore.

  4. Greg Says:

Solomon is going to hell because he’s stupid.

  5. Bornagain A. Theist Says:

I have not participated in a long time, but the blatant error in the quote caused me to look and see what was going on. Of course I am referring to the phrase “sixtieth decade” which implies that someone has surpassed the age of 600 years. I, being in my sixth decade, am quite aware of the significance of being 65 years old.

The sentiment, certainly, is “spot on”. It is a shame that a world leader would endorse a religion which, for all practical purposes, condones both child molestation and mass murder (through the discouragement of the use of condoms – particularly in Africa, where AID’s is claiming lives in the millions.)

Additionally, I found that the fool that we love to hate is still running rampant and maintaining his open and conspicuously ignorant, stupid, foolish, careless point of view. Clearly, he will not be going to “hell”, since no such realm exists, but the phrase “go to hell” easily comes to mind when reading the vomit which spews onto this board from his keyboard. Here, the term “educated man” loses all meaning.

BB…bush’s bitch (poodle) (lap dog); go figure.

  7. Atheist Panda Says:

Sorry to be a pedant Bornagain A Theist, but at 65 years old, you are in your seventh decade, (the 6th decade would between the ages of 51 and 60).

    AP.

I’m suffering from CDO. It’s just like OCD, except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be….

  8. PEB Says:

Certainly not collecting votes. It’s very rare in the UK for a politician to mention religion. They are very much fence sitters on the subject and Tony Blair’s right-hand man Alastair Campbell once famously said “We don’t do God”.
I voted for Tony. If I’d had known he was a secret catholic who would follow Bush blindly into war then I would have voted for one of the other liars.

  9. tech Says:

Great attitude Peb.You need to go to a hate management course. Get it under control my friend before it controls you.

  10. tech Says:

There are many examples of that term “educated man” on this site that has lost all meaning for me.

  11. Holysmokes Says:

That was a pretty good comeback tech. There may be hope for you yet.

  12. Bornagain A. Theist Says:

Good catch, AP. I once knew better, but lordy, lordy I believe that these 7 freakin’ decades done got the best of me…

  13. PEB Says:

Tech – are you saying George Bush and/or Tony Blair aren’t liars? Oh yes, Saddam had WMD’s and Jesus walked on water.
Despite the error in the quote I like it. In a nutshell: “believers are bonkers”

  14. solomon Says:

the atheists are stupid fools.they chose to follow satans footsteps straight to hell

  15. PEB Says:

Just out of curiosity solomon – where are you in the world?

  16. steve Says:

    #1, #2 for the Troll.

Speaking as an American, Blair confuses the hell out of me. I am not used to hearing a Texan speak with a British accent, so if he converted, well, that is just one more log on the fire.

  17. steve Says:

PEB – bet you do not get a straight answer to that one.

In fact, if the Troll gives you a straight answer without any nonsense attached, I will stop posting for the rest of the month.

  18. Alavi Hossain Says:

i really think solomon should be banned for harrassment. he’s a very angry dude! go chastise the infidels and control sexual behavior on some other site, u ignorant, superstitious, troll.

  19. solomon Says:

The proofs of God’s existence is everywhere around us but the Atheists chose to deny. And they will always will.Hell is a just place for them.It is the most terrible resting place. They will definitely thrown into it.Whenever they request for a drink, they will be given molten iron which will burn their faces.

  20. steve Says:

    #1, #2, as usual.

    How boring.

  21. tech Says:

Peb, If Tony Blair and George Bush are liars thats thats fine I could care less.Nothing I can do about it.If I could I would, but can’t no sense crying about it.I don’t see any point to being a chronic complainer. Some things are out of our hands, worry doesn’t ad to your life.On the other hand if there is something you can do, then shut and do it. S I M P L E AS T H A T.

  23. Alavi Hossain Says:

it really doesn’t bother me when people declare their faith. you are free to choose what you believe in, even if it is completely wrong. it does however, worry me deeply when mixed into politics. it seems the more devout a political figure, the more radical and irrational his views and decisions are. bush actually said god told him to go into iraq. the caning of women who commit adultery is allowed in some muslim countries. how can religion help something that is already so dirty?

  24. Atheist MC Says:

Blair only converted after he left office and because his wife is a catholic. As has been pointed out Anne Widdecombe aside most british politicians don’t do religion. It’s not a vote winner over here.

  25. CaptainZero1969 Says:

Solomon seems to think a great deal about torture. I guess it’s not surprising considering…

Maybe the quote author meant Methuselah. 60th decade… Funny. I think you nailed it MC. He “converted” to please his wife. Probably got caught shagging the cleaning lady and that was the only concession that would buy the angry missus off.

  26. steve Says:

Turns out he was superstitious all along. Blair said that while in office he feared being exposed as a “nutter” if he had talked about his religious views.

  27. steve Says:

I guess seeing that I have challenged the trolls to back up what they say
(and that does now include you, Tech) here is where I found the info about Blair hiding his superstitions:
