We know from common human decency, without checking in the Bible that slavery is immoral. Good thing we do because the Bible embraces it in both the New Testament, quoted below and in the Old Testament which spells out the rules for buying and selling people. I have chosen to spare you the rules, but you can look them up in Exodus and Leviticus if you wish.
A few quotes from the New Testament:
*Titus 2:9 Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters
*1 Timothy 6:1 Let all those under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be defamed.
*Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as to Christ;
